Great job on a great song! Having grown up in Detroit I always wonder where South Detroit is when I hear this song, never hear of it when I lived there. The only South Detroit that I am aware of is a restaurant by that name in Ontario, Canada. Maybe South Detroit refers to Ontario because if you drive south from Detroit you end up in Ontario, Canada.
